About Me

Hello, I’m Mackenzie Palladino - the full time metalsmith and independent business owner behind Semplice Designs. My metalsmithing journey began at East Carolina University and continued once I relocated to Boone, North Carolina where I graduated from Appalachian State University. I chose to live in Boone to explore my creative potential post-college. This decision prompted me to start Semplice Designs in 2018  as a way for me to create and express my love for music. I've worked very hard to curate my aesthetic ever since.

As a metalsmith for 10+ years, I take pride in presenting you with pieces that are handmade with intention. Much of the inspiration for my pieces comes from the musical culture and the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where I lived in Western NC. Additionally, The Grateful Dead, among many other artists, drive the creative process behind my intricate bolo ties and various jewelry designs. Each design is entirely one of a kind, each piece is a visual representation of commitment and attention to detail. Traveling, as well as creating new experiences for myself, help to fan the flame.

Living and working in Mark Read’s studio in Boone set me up for creative success. I am very fortunate to have relocated to Nashville, Tennessee as of October 2021. Living in East Nashville has given me the opportunity to network with countless musicians and creatives. Moving to Music City has proven to be an incredible business decision for me. I will continue to create opportunities for myself, build strong clientele and bring you art that is a true representation of my many passions.
